NPS staff and community members will have booths set up to teach attendees more about the bats in our back yard. Crafts and kids games are sure to please younger visitors and everyone can explore the night skies of Glen Canyon with two bat listening walks.
Guest speakers Jason Corbett and Ashley Xu will be discussing the research and concerns of bats in Glen Canyon and around the world with the NPS Intern Program and Bat Conservation International.
Enjoy a nice dinner at one of several great eating establishments in and around the lodge. Visitors over 21 can support bats by purchasing a signature cocktail from the Driftwood Lounge. These drinks are made with certified bat friendly tequila and mezcal preserving both an endangered species of bat and the biodiversity of the agave. Toast a glass the the Tequila Interchange Project and save the bats with a refreshing adult beverage!
