HOW IT HELPS
Your donation to Glen Canyon Conservancy allows our organization to fund numerous projects through our park partners. These funds are invested in year-round programs and special events that keep these public lands vibrant.
Since our founding, Glen Canyon Conservancy has donated more than $1 million in direct and in-kind support to our partners, both past and present, including the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation and National Forest Service.
- Your donations have a direct impact on critical infrastructure improvement projects, preservation of historic sites for future generations, education and community outreach programs and the cultivation of the next generation of public lands stewards.

FUNDS AT WORK
Your donation to Glen Canyon Conservancy allows our organization to fund numerous projects for our park partners. These funds are invested in year-round programs and special events that keep Glen Canyon National Recreation Area vibrant. Ongoing programs include:
INFORMATION SPECIALISTS
GCC employs Information Specialists to operate visitor centers throughout the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, working alongside our agency partner to provide directions, safety information and up-to-date trail information to the millions of visitors who visit our area.
ADOPT-A-PLESIOSAUR
We promote an adoption initiative, Adopt-A-Plesiosaur, which helps fund paleontological research around Lake Powell.
TRIBAL CONSULTATIONS
GCC supports ongoing consultations between National Park Service and 7 affiliated tribes to strengthen relationships and understanding.
LECHEE YOUTH INTERNSHIP
GCC supports this internship which allows Native American youth to gain entry-level experience and knowledge about the National Park Service as a career field.
GLEN CANYON LECTURE SERIES
GCC partners with the Page Public Library to provide free community access to a diverse range of area relevant subjects from the topic experts themselves on a monthly basis.
NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION’S OPEN OUTDOORS FOR KIDS PROGRAM
GCC is the funding source for this grant which provides ranger-led in-classroom and field experience, teaching local Page 4th graders about the National Park System and what it protects. It culminates with a boat ride on Lake Powell, making it the first experience on the water for some of the students.
FOSSIL DAY
GCC supports community outreach programs such as National Fossil Day held at Carl Hayden Visitor Center.
BROWN TROUT INCENTIVIZED HARVEST PROGRAM
GCC is the funding source to reward anglers for catching brown trout with the goal of mitigating the propagation of invasive species in the Colorado River.
